About Mike
I currently live in Chaska, Minnesota and consult and write software for a living. I work for Inetium, a Microsoft partner in Bloomington, MN. I live and breathe .NET, C#, Silverlight, ASP.NET, Javascript, HTML, and CSS. I like to do software development - get my hands dirty and design and implement software.
You can find me in the Twin Cities area speaking at local events like the Twin Cities Code Camp, Twin Cities Silverlight User Group, and Twin Cities Developer’s Guild.
I love writing software and experimenting with technology in my spare time. Here is some of my recent work:
TwitterSynth |
Off The Air |
G20 Quiz |
TANKS |
kSynth |
kSynth.b |
kSynth.Drone |
Wave Edit |
VS Dev Types |
pi Cheat |
Quixo3D |
WPF 3D Tutorial |
Also make sure to check out SilverSynth, an open source digital audio synthesis library for Silverlight.
Aside from writing code, I also love performing, writing, and producing music. My main instrument is percussion and I’ve been playing for over 21 years. I’ve also managed to figure out how to fake playing guitar and bass. I’m a terrible singer.
Sometimes I volunteer with the Bloomington Medalist Concert Band. Otherwise I actively write and produce my own music in my basement studio. I’m a one-man-band and just enjoy recording music and putting it out into the world. My stuff lies on the “heavier” side of the musical spectrum. You can listen to all of my stuff at www.HodsAudio.net, but here are some of my favorites:
Robots Stole My Computer |
Hostile Robot Takeover |
Basic |
Original Music and Clips |
I have a wonderful family and have been married to my wonderful wife Nicole since August 10, 2001. On August 18, 2005, our beautiful daughter Eva was born.
